About CAMH

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest addiction and mental health teaching hospital, fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. CAMH consistently earns Canada’s highest-level hospital accreditation and is a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre.

Each year we treat over 20,000 people, respond to 400,000 hospital visits, train thousands of health professionals including 25% of Canada’s psychiatrists, and fulfill over 40,000 requests for information.

CAMH is home to the largest mental health and addiction research operation in Canada and holds seven endowed university chairs and professorships, as well as five prestigious Canada Research Chairs. With projects in almost 20 countries, CAMH is advancing the understanding and treatment of addiction and mental illness worldwide.
